Tell us about your character and their history:
While my the name for my character (both rp and screenname) are tentative at best, I have compiled a backstory which I'm hoping will stay longer
The name I have currently chosen is Colton Coldblood.
I was born in old lordaeron in the time after the second war and lived most of my life as a librarian in our capital. During that time while I found I had a knack for disenchanting, which turned out to be more of a fault. But the quite life ended when Prince Arthas returned and committed regicide. After which I saw the kingdom I grew up in burned to the ground. I suppose saying I "fought" in what I now know to be called the 3rd war, would be a bit of an over estimation so much as I ran and got gutted by ghouls. Unfortunately I wasn't enough to get raised and eventually freed with Sylvanas' campaign. Instead I was "lucky" enough to get found by my uncle and given a proper burial (the amount of preservatives that man used on me, ugg I still can't taste anything other than salt).
For fifteen years I stayed dead, for fifteen years I stayed in the void. Of course it didn't feel like that to me, ohhh no, to me fifteen years past in just a moment, one agonizing moment where I could feel the pain of all those who had died. I was food and I was so close to being consumed, the screening growing louder and louder.
Then silence.
I opened my eyes and saw a snow colored creature floating above me, before she turned away and began casting a spell on the next body laid out before her. However, as I slowly got up and gained an understanding for what had happened to me and this land I felt it, the hunger that had tried to consume me was now within me. Without even trying I siphoned the soul of a woman who had tried to help me adjust to me new form and I felt the hunger subside. This was what I was I became nothing more than a conduit for the void to work, to bring more into it's fold.
As I slowly found out more about the events that had transpired in the fifteen years I had stayed in the void. I was forced to find more and more to sate this unending hunger. I'm called a "warlock" and cast out of many businesses and establishments. However, as it turns out the enemies of the forsaken are many souls are aplenty. So I must search both for the history I must catch up on and for my next "acquisition".
How well versed are you in Warcraft lore:
Surprisingly well. I've played WC3 extensively and WC and WC2. However for quite awhile I really didn't touch WOW kinda just watching. However, now IRL has mostly cleared up and I has some disposable income so I figured hey why not. I've been watching lore videos from youtube and brushing up with the wiki and just reading in game text, but I'm sure theres plot lines I missed. Hense why I worked a "I missed 15 years into my back story"
Do you know much about apothecary RP (Don't be afraid to tell us no! We aren't looking for people that know everything after all. Learning about it is fun too!) :
I'm not I've seen the Royal Apothecary Sociaty and while they're work is incredible I question their goals.
What is your character's name? (List your actual in game name as well so we can find you! ;D ):
RP and screen name are both tentative but Colton Coldblood and Spraguenator
What class and level is your character:
Affliction warlock lv 100. Or void anomaly if you want to go rp
What other guilds have you been in:
I'm part of a leveling guild right now but they're pretty inactive, I'm willing to leave on the drop of a hat really.
How did you hear about us:
Server forums but I've been hearing how active you guys are.
Why do you want to join TLoV:
I got to level 100 and pretty much instantly said "this is it?" I then realized I probably should pay attention to the social aspect of the game and started looking for guilds. Also I heard WoW has a pretty good rp crowd so I figured I'd give it a shot.
How active are you:
Well I come on at least every other day if not more often.
What do you think it means to be part of a guild:
This is a good question and I don't have a good answer for it, I'm sure I'll find out soon enough however.
I do have some fears about joining, I am still kinda looking to play to game, so raiding, PvP, PUGs gear progression. I still kinda want to do those.
How do you include the biology of undeath into your RP:
Well the whole bound to the void kinda requires be to be undead. I took Tailoring to help in "maintenance"
Give a history of the Forsaken plague and the events in Northrend:
As if a short version of the Forsaken story exists. We have the most derived lore in game.
Fine fine here goes. After claiming Frostmourne Arthas returned his homeland kills his father the king and begins slaughtering his people. Once satisfied the land belongs to the scourge Arthas then sets his sights on Quel'thalas in order to use the sunwell to revive the lich Kel'thuzad, in this campaign he slaughters any in his way decimating the high elf people, notably Ranger General Sylvanas Windrunner.
After handling some other matters Arthas then returns to his kingdom only to have it revealed that icecrown the source of his how was in danger, before leaving his power over the undead waned allowing strong willed undead like Sylvanas to escape his will. After that point Sylvanas swore vengeance against Arthas and attempted to kill him but failed. After this point Sylvanas rallied was forces she could from the undead and killed the dreadlords who would take the region as their own.
Years later Sylvanas felt as Arthas awoke from his long slumber to continue what he started. Sylvanas saw this as her time for vengence rallies her forced and sets sail to Northrend to fight Arthas on his own turf. While Sylvanas does get the opportunity to fight Arthas she fails and nearly dies. After the Arthas' death at the hands of Tirion Fordragon, Sylvanas throws herself off of Icecrown killing herself, until she realizes what I did that the void is hardly conformable. However luckily for her the Valkyr found her and made a pact her her bring her back from the dead.
Hopefully this is enough to prove I am up to date on lore, please tell me if I'm not
How has your character accepted the changes made in the Horde after Pandaria was found?
I went to Pandaria briefly. I wish peace was something I could enjoy but my search for souls forced me onward. I'd love to spend some time in their libraries.
What about Draenor? Has your character ventured through the portal?
Yes I now spend most of my time on Draenor, the iron horde is so willing to assist in sating my hunger
How does your undead feel about the changes within the Horde and the new warchief?
"new" is a relative term Voljin is the only warchief I've known. I suppose if we must have a leader a troll is slightly better than a orc, they are atleast from Azaroth
Which do you think is more awesome? Dinosaurs or Dragons?
Dragons
