[Days after the unarmored spar in Conquest Hold, Private Alessedor Skycrown felt the pull of his material form from the Undercity War Quarters, as it was ported to a strange, large metal room where the expected fight two was to be performed. On this day Skycrown was confident in his abilities and was steadfast. His thoughts pushed back to the unarmored spar that happened earlier in the week, where he managed to receive two commendations. One was for the success in battle against the Executor Jarclair, the end of the fight executed with a downward body punch, causing the Executor to begin hacking ichor. Despite this Jarclair was pleased with Skycrown's tenacity, and promised one commendation. Shortly thereafter, Skycrown had proceeded to beat every other opponent, with the exception of the other Executor Bennich, whom Skycrown challenged in good heart, and for sport. With that exception, being that Bennich was not a participate, and Skycrown merely wanted to show his mettle, Skycrown has still won the entire tournament earning a second commendation from Executor Bennich. His thoughts returning to the now, Skycrown pressed onward down the stairs with the other members of the Legion.]
As he reached the base, he took note of the other participants, some unfamiliar. "It is here you all will be fighting, And for the event, the battle will be fought all at once, and in teams of two." said Dr. Ivan Felsorrow. Skycrown observed the curious looks from those around him, as he began to scan the room. He eyed a Deathknight standing alone, and chose to approach this person. "Greetings, I am Alessedor Skycrown. And you are?" Skycrown said. The stranger responded with "I am Alexander Bladeheart, a private of the Deathguard." As the various groups began forming, these two did not need to speak much, as they had known what each others intentions were, and proceeded to remain silent after their initial greeting, standing in the corner opposite, and left of the staircase. "Good, it seems you all have found your partners. You may begin." Felsorrow had spoken in a rustic voice, echoing in the quiet and spacious room.
From this point things proceeded very quickly, as Alexander and Skycrown had assumed their stances, readying their weapons. "Right!" Skycrown said to his companion, and in unison they charged with haste to the competitors standing at the base of the stairs, being Sergeant Josandus, and Sergeant Valinette. Skycrown had let loose a shield slam against Valinette, with her non providing a recompense, and Alexander prevent a counteraction from Josandus with a pommel bash of his rune blade. Seconds after a arrow soared past Skycrowns head, followed by the whip crack of a shadow tendril going around alexander striking Josandus.
"Back!" Skycrown stated, and once again in unison Alexander and Skycrown sprint with unholy speed to charge both the Executor Bennich, and the Lieutenant Sanari. In the moment just after this, a warrior and rogue had come and were now assaulting Bennich and Sanari from behind. Using his quick thinking, Bennich chose to disengage the group, and leap back, as we together decided to put Sanari to the sword. After ruling the Lieutenant out, the party of four hunted after Bennich surrounding him and bringing him down as well. Skycrown quickly tapped Alexander, gaining his attention, and nodded at the Warrior. Alexander responded in kind with bringing his blade upon the warrior, followed by a swift axe strike from me.
Then the unexpected had happened. A large Water elemental had formed claiming this to be his domain. Wasting no time, the entire Guard began wailing on the elemental bringing him down after just a moment. The warrior who was still in the fight glared at skycrown and took a swing at him after gaining his focus. Skycrown managed to dodge the blow and bring a hack down upon the warriors armer. At the same time, across the room, the water elemental had enveloped Sanari's and Bennich's debilitated bodices, and made them assault us once more. The rogue who was still up, Alexander, and Skycrown all returned to the base of the stairs to the entrance and began beating the bodies into submission, until the elemental had sunk to the floor which had filled partially with water. Earlier the rogue managed to find a switch to hit to prevent much of the water rising, and it all had been slowly draining into the center drain of the room.
The rogue and Skycrown exchanged one glance, and then Skycrown observed the rogue dashing towards Josandus and Valinette. Alexander and Skycrown joined him, appreciative of the opportunity to have a head start on the other group, before taking the rogue down. During this exchange of blows, the rogue had Josandus locked, though not for long. Shortly after Josandus had brought him down, the rogues body already weakened from the elemental. Alexander jumped between Josandus and Skycrown to solo him, while Skycrown put his focus on Valinette. Then Skycrown yelled "Mine!" and Alexander planted a chop with his hand into Valinette's abdomen, followed by a toe first kick from Skycrown, and finalized by a kick from Alexander into the heel of Skycrown to push his kick deeper into Valinette putting her into submission. At this time Josandus realizing Valinette was brought down began fleeing into the back left corner, where Skycrown and Alexander had first began. They both ambled on towards the corner where Josandus had chosen to reside. "Relax, friend I am not going to hit you. we have won this fight." Josandus nodded, and asked "So you aren't going to touch my stomache?" Skycrown chose to hug Josandus in response, and say "No, you put up a well enough fight.".
After observing the exchange, Felsorrow had announced "The tournament is over! Alexander and Skycrown have won!". Skycrown and Alexander stood about with Josandus for another moment, as Valinette chose to join them. SKycrown noticed she was cradling her midsection, and had spoken "I hope you are feeling alright, and not too hurt." "I will be fine, and thank you." she responded. Skycrown and Alexander sauntered back to the entrance, glad to have won the tournament and to have gotten his name out there. While hoping for a third commendation, he was smiling and had a final thought as he was stepping towards the portal to return to the Undercity. "This is a good beginning to a long journey. I aim to go far in this Legion." He stepped through the portal to prepare for another day.
