This report is from the POV of Darkenheart.
On this latest eve, I, Darkenheart was training in combat with the assassin Lisendra. Around the speculated time of 19:30, we heard Annerais Mortifera's plea for assistance, through a garbled, and clearly damaged communicator. Luckily, we were in the training area of the War Quarter, and were able to find her in time, over the Rogues Quarter bridge.
Upon initial engagement, she appeared to be blocked off by an 7'8 blue furred troll, wielding two war axes. Lisendra leaped to the right side of the Troll, and I had flanked him, while having my Geist be at his 3 O'clock. I advised the Troll that he is surrounded, and to give up to us, yet he ignored the statement. He answered with the dropping of a smoke bomb, which luckily did not affect Lisendra, or myself, as she was already fighting blinded before this, and I was outside the radius of the smoke. He then ran to the southeastern end of the bridge, and stated in orcish that he intended to have Annerais, whether we interfere or not.
At that moment, Lieutenant Sanari Shadowtear commanded over the communicator device that we capture the assailant. I had commanded my geist to then move behind the troll, so prevent escape down the bridge steps. Realizing that he intended to fight, Lisendra had then swiftly thrown several daggers in an attempt to injure, not kill the troll, per the lieutenants request, and the troll responded with quickly vanishing, and reappering behind me, to kick my armor in between the shoulder plates, trying to knock me into the few lax daggers Lisendra has lastly thrown. It was then, than Annerais had made her first move since we had arrived, and she, seemingly injured, jumped onto the trolls back, and stabbed him once with each of her two blades, into his shoulders. Once more, I tried to speak to the troll claiming "We will not kill you immediately, we have questions for you." Apparently this was not good enough, as the troll had knocked Annerais off his back, and tried to (what seemed to me) become stealthy, or cloaked. He tip toed his wat across the edge of the bridge, and managed to leap over my geist, and finally backed into a corner on the south side of the wall corner going into the Rogue Training area.
I walked over to the edge of the bridge, gazing down at the troll. I remember thinking "Could he really be this stupid?". The answer was yes, and he stayed there for about 5 seconds, as Lisendra and myself stared down at him, surprised he was not falling down due to injury, or running to escape. He was crouched low, thinking we could not see him. I immediately commanded my geist, Plaguerumble to leap at him, and pin him to the wall, via his claws inserted into the troll's arms. I then announced "Your lack of information will be your undoing. All Deathguard can see life, and your petty attempt at stealthing away has been ended, and within our city, you are caught." Lisendra, Annerais, and myself had run down the stairs to surround him for the last time.
Upon seeing us, he had pulled out what seemed to see a five inch in diameter, gray, and perfect circle shaped bomb, followed by lighting it's fuse by some leathery rod shaped object against his thigh. Apparently by this point the troll had become debilitated, and moved sluggishly due to a crippling poison on Annerais' blades still in the back of the troll. The troll was staring me down, as I approached him holding out the bomb, though to what effect I do not know. I had waved my runeblade in an arc in front of me, in a successful effort to cut the fuse. I then stepped forward and grabbed the wrists of the troll who was beginning to flail. I used my powers over frost to chill and numb the use of his arms, wrists and hands, and had my geist remove some spare rope it had in its satchel, and commanded it to tie his hands. I stated once more "You are caught, troll scum. You have chosen to assault the wrong Forsaken, and the wrong city, and you are going to tell us why." The troll remained silent, staring at me. He was injured, but clearly conscious. I radioed in to lieutenant Sanari advising we had subdued the troll, and asked where we take him for interrogation. I was met with silence, as the assassin sergeant Bennich had walked up, with the Apothecary Samej. Bennich advised that the current area to best take him would be an area in the apothecarium. I had brought him there, followed by Lisendra, and Samej who was speaking to the troll is Zandali.
We entered the main room, and Samej advised that he would do the interrogation, as he would have better relations with the troll, having the ability to speak his native language. I agreed to hand him over to Samej and two other Deathguard waiting on the area. I said my goodbye to Lisendra and Samej, advising them I would remain in the area, to investigate the bridge, to see if I could find any clues. (I did not, and the other Forsaken had disappeared.) Before leaving, I requested Samej to report his findings. He did, and handed the report to me to include in my primary report.
His letter is as follows:
Prisoner: Unidentified Troll Male
Interrogator: Sergeant Samej, Arcanist
Information Gleaned:
The Troll's motives for assaulting one of our members (Anne) is apparently to cause dissent within the ranks of the Horde, and other associated races. He claimed that Anne was chosen because "people liked her" and she was female.
After speaking with the Troll in Zandali, I conclude that he is likely insane, or quite deranged. He seems to think the end is nigh, and the Horde isn't ready for "Whats Coming."
Dark Lady watch over you.
